Rutgers Middle and High School Maker Camp @ Rutgers Makerspace

Who: Middle School and High School Students

Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Rutgers Makerspace
Description: Participants will choose from a variety of problems to solve, with the goal of developing an innovative product or process. Students, working in collaborative teams, will analyze key features and fully define their chosen problem and brainstorm and shape a solution. This solution will first be paper prototyped and then designed in a CAD package, and finally fully realized and fabricated using key makerspace tools, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines. Participants will share and demo final solutions and working prototypes.

Rutgers Elementary Maker Camp
Maker mindset * Design-thinking * Virtual to Physical
Who: Grades 2-5 School Students
Date: July 24 - July 28
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: CMSCE on Busch Campus
Description: Students will experience design thinking and grow their maker mindset through experiencing a new maker project each day. Projects include: Paper Engineering, Little Bits, Makey Makey, Scratch, and a Robotics competition.
