A major practice of scientists is to organize and interpret raw data through tabulation, graphing and statistical analysis. Engineers often analyze a design by creating a model or a prototype and collecting extensive data on how it performs, including under extreme conditions. Analysis if this kind of data not only informs design decisions and enables the prediction or assessment of performance but also helps define or clarify problems. Join us as we use digital tools to analyze and interpret data by identifying significant features and patterns. Participants will get the opportunity to infuse their existing lesson plans with analyzing and interpreting data as a practice.
