Description:
Google SketchUp is FREE modeling software from Google that empowers students to be 3D designers. SketchUp is a great tool for easily teaching kids to construct 3D models of buildings, trees, cars, and the like. This workshop will focus on how to use Sketchup as a stand alone program and will then provide you with resources to learn on your own how to use it in conjunction with Google Earth and the 3D warehouse.

Objectives:
  • Learn how to use Google's SketchUp
  • Learn how students can apply Sketchup to geography, social studies, history and industrial technology
  • Learn how students can use SketchUp to visualize geometry and other mathematical concepts
