Description:
A wiki is a series of interlinked collaborative online articles that can be edited and added to by a group of people. This workshop introduces teachers to wikis, what they are, where they can be found, and how they can be created and managed in an educational setting. This practical, hands-on workshop explores appropriate educational uses for wikis. Please come prepared with a topic in mind to write about.

Objectives:
  • Learn about free web-based software for wikis - what it looks like, how it works, where to get it
  • review real examples of wikis, set up by multidisciplanry teachers from around the world
  • Learn how participants might use wikis with their own learners
