Description:
As a new teacher, your life is very busy! This class will teach you how to use tools, such as Excel and Word, to make your life easier. Websites to create worksheets, puzzles and other classroom essentials will be shared. Great resources to make your job easier will be available for your perusal. Be sure to bring your class list, phone numbers and addresses.

Objectives:
  • Using Excel, the teacher will create lists that can be used in the classroom
  • The teacher will explore websites that can provide lesson plans that have been proven by other teachers
  • The teacher will explore websites that will support their teaching
  • The teacher will learn about listservs that will put them in touch with other teachers in the same subject
  • The teacher will use Word to create stationary and substitute plan templates
