Description:
Curriculum mapping involves teachers becoming an integral part of the planning process. They need to start with knowing the standards and how the standards develop from grade to grade. The curriculum mapping is the planning of the standards and having them taught throughout the year. Each standard needs to be woven throughout the year's work and revisited many times. The workshop on curriculum mapping would show how to do this, and also how to differentiate the instruction to meet the different levels of the students in the classroom.

Objectives:
  • Learning how to use curriculum mapping in the math content area.
  • Learning how to revisit math content standards throughout the year.
  • Planning to meet the different levels of the students in the classroom.

  • Benefits:

  • Free eBoard for one year (www.eBoard.com)
  • Teachers will be looking at a horizontal representation of the standards to see how they are developed from year to year.
  • Teachers will be differentiating the instruction according to the needs of their students.
