Description:
You have the computers in your classroom…now what? You can use one computer or a bank of them to create a learning center for your students. With Internet access, you can use real time information for worksheets and projects, webquests for independent learning, and games for reinforcement. We'll spend time exploring the internet for resources you can use the next day in your classroom as well as plan for units in the future.

Objectives:
  • The teacher will become familiar with social studies and science Internet sources
  • The teacher will plan ways to use the computer as a learning center
  • The teacher will find realtime sources for use at a learning center
  • The teacher will explore various webquests that can be used for independent learning
