Description:
This hands-on workshop will lead new teachers on a journey through educational technology. We’ll stop to visit everything from videoconferencing to interactive whiteboards to online collaborations to Web 2.0. We’ll review the tech necessities every educator needs to keep themselves organized and to keep the lines of communication open with students, parents, colleagues and administration. Teachers attending this full-day workshop will leave energized and ready to tackle their new careers.

Objectives:
  • Review free online resources available to educators
  • Review concepts of integrating pre-existing hardware and software into lessons
  • Receive an overview of using Web 2.0 applications for online communication, collaboration and organization
