Description:
This session is open to teachers and supervisors, regardless of subject matter and grade level. We will engage in a general overview of NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards and NJ Testing schedules. Working from the notion that we all have the opportunity to improve Language Arts Literacy, we will explore ways that every teacher can support the academic growth and success of students in Language Arts. Attendees will review the resources available on the web and make connections between their content area and Language Arts. Each attendee will leave with an individual plan to approach their content area in a way that impacts student achievement.

  • To review the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards Assessments for Language Arts
  • To examine the resources available on the web
  • To make the connections between each participant's content area and Language Arts to develop a plan to impact student learning
