Description:
This workshop is based on sharing teachers' and children's favorite literature books. The stories are used for motivating children to think and reason mathematically. Each story has a group of lessons that help teachers implement problem-solving, discovery, and hands-on activities. Topics will include all the math standards. Literature provides opportunities to communicate and develop a deeper understanding from group discussions. Students will be encouraged to use written accounts, simple diagrams, and math journals.

Objectives:
  • The sharing of teachers' and children's literature books.
  • To present mathematical ideas based on the stories.
  • To be able to communicate by sharing children's mathematical both orally and written.
