Description:
This workshop will show how the new TI-Nspire handhelds are being used in the classroom to allow students to solve problems using multiple representation of a problem; show how students can change a problem and see the impact, use the handheld to collect data for solving a problem, and how CAS has been integrated into both Algebra 1 and HSPA courses.

Objectives:
  • Show how lessons using the TI-Nspire have been implemented in the classroom including discovery learning.
  • Provide educators hands-on experience in using the calculators.
  • Compare the features of a TI Handheld with the TI-84 and show the benefits of the integrated problem views from both the algebraic and geometric perspective.
