Description:
You have this computer for your students to use…now what? Use it as a learning center for math. There are many sites that reinforce skills, promote problem solving and offer online manipulatives. At this workshop, we will examine these sites as well as projects your students can use to enforce and strenghten their math skills. We will also examine software templates your students can use for math skills.

Objectives:
  • The teacher will learn about ways to use the computer as a learning center in the math area
  • The teacher will learn about websites that support math skills
  • The teacher will learn about math projects that can be used as a learning center activity
  • The teacher will examine software, such as Excel and other commerically created products, that can be used as a learning center
