Description:
In this workshop participants will explore how to use assessment to enhance science learning, not just simply measure it. We will examine practical, formative assessment techniques, project-based assessments, performance tasks, and much more. Teachers will learn how to utilize a variety of assessments in their classrooms and how to use the data collected through these assessments to uncover students’ misconceptions and drive instruction. Participants will also receive tools and strategies to bring students into the assessment process as self-reflecting learners.
