Description:
This workshop is designed for teachers who are interested in exploring a variety of activities that will meet the expectations of the Standards and support their preparation for the NJ ASK 3, 4. The activities will include models of instruction that illustrate ways that students develop and construct their solutions; examples of teacher skills including ways of questioning that affect change in student performance; and an emphasis on the application of knowledge to problems that have students writing responses using rubrics.

Objectives:
  • To use activities that teach to the Standards and prepare students for the NJ ASK.
  • To have students better write responses to open-ended questions using a rubric.
