Prerequisite: Introduction to SMART Board workshop or some prior experience using the SMART Board

Description:
This workshop will introduce teachers to the latest features added to the SMART Notebook Gallery in the Lesson Activity Toolkit folder. Learn how to use the new collection of tools and templates to develop customized learning activities. Teachers will be amazed at the new games, puzzles, graphics, and interactive tools that are now available! Participants will be given hands-on time to work with the toolkit and will leave this workshop with classroom-ready lesson activities.

Objectives:
  • How to create self-checking games that include category sorting, multiple choice, matching, tiling, and revealing. These are great for using your SMART Board as a "learning center."
  • How to generate customized education games for your lessons including crosswords, anagrams and word guessing games (spelling games and "hangman").
  • How to use game playing pieces and boards such as cards, checkerboards, sudoko and dominos.
  • How to create a "hot spot" game with an image (such as a diagram or map), to label important places
  • How to incorporate graphic objects such as buttons, title bars, pull tabs and more to enhance lesson activities
  • How to use new Adobe Flash tools including click and reveal tools, customizable keyword dice and spinners, random card, number and color generators, scrolling text bars, voting tools, question and answer flippers and more.
  • How to use other new features in Version 10 in the Lesson Activity Toolkit.
