Description:
Come and explore ways to use various media to create dynamic SMART Board learning experiences! During this session, participants will learn how to incorporate video, sound, flash and other file types with the SMART Board. Tips and techniques for developing exciting lessons that utilize advanced functions in the software will be shared. Teachers will have hands-on time to work with the technology, including the SMART Video Player and SMART Recorder, and practice new skills.

Objectives:
  • Use the SMART Recorder to review lessons presented at the SMART Board and create tutorials that can be saved and shared with students
  • Insert Flash video files, such as from You Tube and Teacher Tube, onto SMART Notebook pages
  • Use the SMART Video Plalyer to play downloaded videos, such as from United Streaming, and annotate over movies with electronic ink and capture screen shots
  • Insert sound files, including mp3 music, speeches, sound effects, etc., and record voice to attach to objects in SMART Notebook
  • Save and insert other media files, such as "animated gifs" and Flash (.slv) files to have objects "come alive" on the SMART Board
  • Use advanced tools and features, including object animation, page recorder, linking, and Gallery Flash Objects
