Description:
The internet and digital media provide so many ways to support the growth of students new to the English language. Referencing some ideas and theories behind Universal Design for Learning, this workshop will present internet and technology resources to support teachers of English Language Learners and bilingual students as they work to promote literacy and success across content areas while connecting students to learning in the classroom.

Objectives:
  • To discuss some of the challenges teaching ELL/ESL/Bilingual Students
  • To explore the learning opportunities presented by digital media and technology
  • To review websites and internet resources to promote engagement and learning in different content areas
