Description:
Children come to school with varying number experiences. The development of mathematical concepts and language depends on children being exposed to a literate environment that encourage children to think mathematically. These beginning experiences help develop their intuitive understanding of numbers. This workshop will be introducing hands-on activities to help students develop their own mathematical foundation. Also, math ideas should be fun and exciting and part of their everyday world. Literature will be used to share this everyday world.
