Description:
A great deal of the learning from technology at an early age comes from the social interactions between the child and their peers and teachers. Come and see what the latest uses if technology for PreK through first graders are to aid in sparking curiosity, creativity, independence, and cooperativeness. Get hands-on time use these technologies so that you’re ready to bring them into your classroom or school tomorrow.

Objectives:
  • Hands-on time with age-appropriate software, web-based applications and hardware
  • Guidance towards sources for lessons aimed on readiness skills and early literacy experiences
  • Defining “edutainment” software versus open-ended software
