Description:
In this session we will focus on the ways social networking (SN) tools, such as Twitter and Ning can be harnessed to build a rich and powerful learning community. We will discuss tips and tricks to leverage the potential of these SNs. We will provide resources to help attendees set up their own networks during and after the session. Finally, we will capitalize on the face to face connections within the workshop to further enrich our online learning community.

Objectives:
  • Participants will learn about the benefits of online social networking.
  • Participants will learn about ways to leverage the educational potential of online networks.
  • Participants will join one or more online community.
