High School AI Maker Camp (Grades 9 - 12)

Come hack and off the shelf R/C car and make it autonomous. Campers will design body modifications using CAD programs leveraging 3D printers and laser cutters. They will also assemble and configure electronics (Raspberry PI 3 B+ and microcontroller) needed to train their vehicles by the end of camp. Students will have a trainable autonomous R/C vehicle that they can continue to train upon completion of the camp.

Students will choose from a variety of problems to solve, with the goal of developing an innovative product or process.  Working in collaborative teams, they will follow the Engineering Design to build solutions designed in CAD packages and fabricated using key Makerspace tools, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines.  Students will document their process, share prototypes and demo final solutions.
