Creating 3 Dimensional Lessons & an Overview of NGSS (K-12))

We will start by working through a grade level appropriate 3D lesson. Each participant will take on the role of the student to understand and review the lesson as a student. Then we will place our teaching hats on after the lesson to walk through and debrief each part of the lesson. Through the walk through we will review the 3 Dimensions of NGSS: Science and Engineering Practices, Disciplinary Core Ideas, and Crosscutting Concepts. We will also go through what a phenomena is and how to incorporate them in your 3 Dimensional lessons. The last part of the workshop will be dedicated to teachers working collaboratively to plan a lesson and/or unit with direct feedback from the facilitators to ensure alignment to the grade level appropriate 3 Dimensions of NGSS
