Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Join us in this quick hands-on overview of machine learning and digital fabrication techniques involved with modifying an off the shelf R/C car to drive autonomously. Participants will have an opportunity to "teach" the cars and see how effectively they "learn".
Explore how computers see and understand what they see while we play with Computer Vision. Participants will build and setup their own custom vision kit. It's a great starting point to learn and work with Computer Vision and Machine Learning on the Raspberry Pi. Note: Participants will take their completed projects with them.
This workshop focuses on more in-depth Python coding for machine learning with online tools such as Jupyter Notebook/Collaboratory. Participants will also learn to navigate and leverage the online tools within their classroom. Previous attendee experience with Raspberry PI environment and Python is helpful but not required. Recommended Pre-requisite(s) (not required): PI 101: Introduction to Raspberry PI, PI 102: Command Line, Python and Web Serving
Participants will take a more in-depth look at the math underlying machine learning. This workshop will focus primarily on high school level statistics.
Using Python, attendees will learn what is source control, basic practices and how to utilizing online source control tools. revious attendee experience with Raspberry PI environment and Python is helpful but not required. Recommended Pre-requisite(s) (not required): PI 101: Introduction to Raspberry PI, PI 102: Command Line, Python and Web Serving
This workshop will take a in-depth look at computer vision outside of machine learning, specifically OpenCV. OpenCV is open source library geared towards enabling real-time computer vision functionality. Participants will learn to navigate and leverage OpenCV to other vision projects that utilize a Raspberry PI and Camera. Previous attendee experience with Raspberry PI environment and Python is helpful but not required. Recommended Pre-requisite(s) (not required): PI 101: Introduction to Raspberry PI, PI 102: Command Line, Python and Web Serving , PI 103: Python and PI Camera
(Middle & High School Teachers)
Participants will be able to develop their own autonomous vehicle lab by modifying off the shelf r/c vehicles. This intensive program will focus on the physical builds and machine learning as well as material and classroom logistics. Each participant have an r/c autonomous car to take back to their classroom.
(Middle & High School Teachers)
This teacher training program geared towards middle to high school levels. The camp will cover the basics of machine learning and its applications, Python programming, source control as well as classroom management tools.
